Phillippe Ricard is a valued Associate at Ellsworth Johnson Michaud, having obtained his law degree from the Université de Moncton in May 2022 and being called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2023. With a diverse professional background, Phillippe embarked on a new career in the legal field after working for over 20 years in the communications industry. His current focus is in the business litigation practice of law.

From 1999 to 2009, Phillippe served as a journalist for the daily newspaper L’Acadie Nouvelle, where he covered various provincial matters and focused on reporting news in the Moncton region. In 2009, he joined the Brunswick News team as the editor-in-chief of French publications, overseeing publications such as L’Étoile, Le Madawaska, La Cataracte, and La République. His experience in branding led him to spearhead the creation of a new brand for the Francophone newspapers under the banner of L’Étoile. Phillippe also played an instrumental role in establishing two new publications, namely L’Étoile Provinciale and L’Étoile Péninsule.

In 2012, Phillippe transitioned to Radio-Canada Acadie, assuming the position of Head of Information. In this role, he held responsibility for the newsroom and various information programs across the four Atlantic provinces.
